This Should Get Me All Caught Up

These should be the last of the random posts I should have gotten up the last few months. I hope not to get so behind in the future :)

Rachel thought Max was cold and needed a blanket; oddly enough he didn't mind it.

An example of 3 year old mood swings; these 2 pictures were taken literally within about 15 seconds of each other!

Preschool Thanksgiving party. Did you know the Pilgrims had dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets and tater tots at their feast? :)

I thought the long strips of paper were a brilliant idea for a table-less feast. And the kids even made their own laminated placemats.

It's the latest idea in baby travel technology: the baby in a bag!! :)

Rachel playing Mommy to her baby doll

We went to the Frisco downtown Christmas lights show and watched it from the car; it was awesome! The lights flashed and were all set in time to the music that played.

A sad picture. This was taken the night we got back from the hospital (pneumonia). While she does look pretty unhappy, she was glad to be home all the same.

And this is the next morning; for whatever reason, she woke up, got out of bed, and then laid herself down in the hallway...maybe it was just too much for her to make it to the sofa? :)

HOW do babies fall asleep like this??? It's a little hard to tell, but he's bent double on himself, like he was sitting up and then just fell forward and passed out!

Rachel's Aunt Brenda and Uncle John sent her lots of princess goodies for her birthday. This Disney Princess Memory game is still a big hit!

We all three had much fun making cookies this Christmas :)

Showing off her new Christmas overalls
his was so funny...William's first time eating an orange, but he never would actually bite it; he just kept sucking on it like a sippy cup!

January Snow

Some pictures of Rachel and her Dad out enjoying the snow we got earlier this month! :)

Tasting the snow...she was surprised when we let her do this!

Zoo Dancin'

During our trip to the zoo, I had to stop and nurse William. We decided the low lighting of the aquarium would be a good place to do that, and it also gave us an unexpected opportunity to get Rachel dancing on video! We are going to the North Texas Irish Music Festival here in a few weeks and I cannot wait to see the dancing she may do there :) Should be lots of fun!

Just fyi...i'm about halfway through posting all the stuff i meant to post on the last couple of months...we took a LOT of pictures in 2010! In fact, I rolled over the 10,000 point on my camera! Woohoo! :)

A November Birthday

Rachel turned 3 this last November and she's definitely living up to the age. She's really coming into her personality (which her preschool teacher says includes a really good sense of humor and boy am I NOT surprised!). She plays pretend a lot now and is, on the whole, much more fun to play with now. I've realized that the reason so many toys and games say "for ages 3 and up" has less to do with dangers (except of course in obvious cases) and more to do with the fact that kids just aren't ready to get the most out of a lot of toys until then. Here's a few pictures of my sweet girl from her birthday.

A snowy castle cake for our little princess; notice the gummy bears standing guard :)

Chowing down on some birthday tacos

This is the best this tent has looked since the day she got it; it's now bent in about four places, but she and William still play in it!
Here's that sense of humor I was talking about... :)

Zoo Trippin'

We took the kids to the Ft. Worth Zoo in November, and I'm convinced never to visit any zoo again between June and September again! The weather was awesome and all the animals were out enjoying it. Here's some photos of our favorite animals having a fun day!

Checking out the cheetahs with her Mama K

William seemed to have a good time though viewing the exhibits was a little hard from the stroller.

We should all get to go around like this :)

Cute photo op from a wagon...

And trying to move a wagon wheel :P

Enjoying some sweets from the candy shop
Is he eyeballing the ice cream...or the little kid? Yes, that's a real live alligator and thank goodness that's some thick glass!

Two Peas In a Pod

I'm gonna have to come up with some more metaphors like the title of this post because these two are thick as theives nowadays! They are definitely becoming friends with each other, and they've even started colluding in their behavior (for example: one starts squealing and the other starts in, and then it starts to be a competition to see who can drive Mama crazy first). Here's some cute pictures of Rachel and William having some good times together.

Cuddling at the zoo

Keeping "willman" from getting to the Christmas tree (that's what she calls him when she's not calling him "baby")
Checking out the backyard on a warmer than average day in December
